Elena Macdonald (they/she) is a writer from Northern Virginia. They are a current MFA candidate in nonfiction at George Mason University, and they received their BFA in Creative Writing from GMU. Elena is also the website editor for Phoebe Journal, and they read for Phoebe Journal, So to Speak Journal, Poetry Daily, Stillhouse Press, and In Short: A Journal of Flash Nonfiction. Their work has been featured or is forthcoming in The Ekphrastic Review, Kitchen Table Quarterly, and Twin Bird Review. Elena is the Managing Editor of Poetry Daily, and they previously worked as the organization’s Developmental & Editorial Coordinator.
