Elena strives to foster connection and community through their work and their writing. They write poetry & creative nonfiction that considers consumption and queer identity. Elena is working on a book length essay about American artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres, intertwining his life and work with Elena’s experiences as a young lesbian writer that is the child of an immigrant.
